| conditioner needed I'm not sure what type of coat my yorkie has. It feels like silk and is the softest of all yorkies I have ever felt, but it mats so easily. He does not have wavy hair. it is straight, and thick. I swear his hair weighs more than he does, he does get some fly-aways and I am looking for a conditioner that will helps with knots. He really does have a beautiful ultra soft coat, but I hate brushing the knots out daily and God forbid we skip a day of brushing for some reason. I have tried almost ebverything at the dog shows and have not found anything that helps. I have more conditioners, detanglers and shampoos than I will use in my lifetime. |

| Sounds like you have the same problem I have with my Teddy. His hair is growing really silky as he matures, but he still has spots where he tangles easily. It's so frustrating compared to my older boy who never tangles. So far, I have found that Biogroom's Silk Creme Conditioner works the best on Teddy's hair. That, and keeping his hair super clean. No overloading with brushing sprays or shiners, etc. The cleaner he stays, the fewer tangles. A lot of people here rave about Iv San Bernard's PEK conditioner. There is a very long thread about the product in this section. Even cotton coats (softer hair) reportedly come out feeling silkier and are less prone to knots and mats. Biogroom is available online and at PetSmart. Iv San Bernard is available only online through their website. Hope this helps. |
