| Pet Silk topknot gel? I've began putting LuLu's hair in a topknot...well, really just pulling it up with a grooming band as her hair isn't long enough for a true topknot. But anyway, I'm considering purchasing the Pet Silk topknot gel to help with the little hairs that aren't quite long enough to stay in the grooming band. My question is is it worth it? Does it really work the way it says it does? |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I've always recommended Petsilk topknot gel, and it really does work, it keeps the short hairs from falling into the eyes and lasts the whole day. The bad thing about the product is if you don't fully tighten the lid, it will dry too soon and adding water to the product doesn't return it to it's previous consistency, so I've had to throw out two jars that were still over half way full. I tried a product from Target called Bed Head Manipulator, and have been very happy with it, it works in much the same way as Petsilk, and the product doesn't dry out. Amazon.com: TIGI Bed Head Manipulator, Hair cream... Here's a review on the product, and I agree with the review. Nice thing is you can buy it locally, so you save on shipping, and if you don't like it you can return it. Quote:

| Thanks! I'll check into that if I decide to hold off on ordering. |

| I had the same problem as Nancy did with the Pet Silk topknot gel, so I started using #1 All Systems Invisible Styling Gel. It also works better on Maximo's hair. #1 All Systems - Finishing Products & Grooming Sprays |

| Also, check out Jenny's site (mimimomo) - She's a groomer and I think she sells that and another product for top knots called Stick em up grand finale. I have tried petsilk, not crazy about it. Her website is www.toplinepet.com
