| Show Coat Questions For any of you that show or keep a "show coat", what are some products that are must-haves for keeping it looking great? Any tips are greatly appreciated!

| I'd love to see the answers to this one too I brush Beamer (who is not a show Yorkie, I do not show, I am just owned by Beamer) at least twice a day, spritzing him with Miracle Coat conditioner beforehand. If he gets a little dirty between baths I use the Miracle Coat waterless shampoo on him. I want to keep his coat nice. So I welcome any tips.

| Yes and she said something about oiling him down. I have sent her an email asking some of the products she uses, but I would like to hear other's tips and favs too. I would like to get everything before he comes home in 2 weeks so I am prepared!

| Yes, I guess! I do know that a lot of people use almond oil or other forms of oil on the coat. I have been keeping mine in oil for the most part but sometimes I was it out and give his coat a chance to breathe. Don't know if I'm doing it right or not though.... |

| I knew she said something about oil, but wasn't sure what kind of oil you would use for that. I'm still waiting to hear from the breeder on what she uses. Guess I'm a little anxious about the wait and shopping will help pass the time! Lol

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Yes I'm interested too ... Here are some advice my breeder shared with me on shampoos n conditioners. Give the products a chance to work, count on at least 4 baths or one month to see results. Know that sometimes product stops working on that particular coat and have a plan (b) in place. As we live in a four season climate be prepared that the s&c you use in summer might not be the best for winter. She believes with going with dog shampoos and not human based shampoos as the PH levels are different. Currently (summer here) I've been quite please with a combination of ISB - green apple S & C. And Isle of dogs shampoo and conditioner S&C. Alternate baths I use the mink oil in with the shampoo. I wrap with Moroccan Oil (Light) I've been very pleased with this product. These products are used on a fine silk coat. Looking forward to hearing what others use

| Sorry I didn't even think to update! LOL The shampoo and conditioner that she recommended and that I am now using is the Vellus shampoo and conditioner Champion Grooming Supply - Plush Puppy Products - Plush Puppy Shampoo - Natural Dog Grooming Supply - Plush Puppy Products, Dog Grooming Supplies, Bathing Dog Wash, Dog Supplies, Pet Grooming Supplies, Dog Shampoo, Show Dog Supplies. So far I really like it. She also recommended the Vellus satin cream for wrapping. I still need to buy this. I am currently using a different type of oil. She likes the Yorkie Sheen from WalnutHill and I already used and liked that. I am still learning a lot and am open to any suggestions! Just seemed nobody was really looking at this thread. LOL Gail.......Where do you buy the Moroccan oil?
