| ![]() Which is exactly the reason why I tried it myself . . .but, on the same note, I usually just get them groomed twice a year . . .I usually let them go wild and wooley until the Spring/Summer months . . .it's just Rhianna who really suffers when the weather gets warmer . . .she is constantly hot . . .

| ![]() My first attempt at grooming didn't turn out very well either. It took so long that I only halfway groomed Gracie. I just groomed her the other day and both she and I did better. It just takes some practice so don't give up. Sometimes I even have to do a touchup on her here and there as her coat settles into place.

| ![]() Ok, that doesn't look sooo bad...and I can totally relate, as that is just what I did to mine the other day. But when a groomer I asked told me that she was going to charge me $65.00 to groom my 4.5 lb dog, I thought I CAN do this. And as I keep telling her...None of her doggy friends will make fun of her, it is just us humans that are hung up on looks ![]() |

| ![]() Well now, if you mean the pic in your avatar...I think she looks GREAT. Keep doing it, it gets easier and you will find you will become more comfortable with handling your clippers, scissors etc. You will even be willing to try different cuts. I still screw Zhoie up some....but we are both ok with that, she tells me...mama it just hair, just hurry up! LOL

| ![]() She isn't too bad!!! A little short in the body, but it will grow so fast and in the mean time you can put cute little shirts on her to cover it up. She is still gorgeous! I remember the one and only time we tried to cut Chip's hair... never again. At the time we didn't think we did too bad, but looking back on the pictures... yea... B-A-D! Of course, he was still adorable to us, but he was SO chopped up. The sad thing is that it took both my husband and I working together and it took us two hours. We gave Chippy several breaks and he was so so so patient with us. I'll leave grooming to the professionals!

| ![]() I gave my first hair cut to Wyatt. He looks so bad. I shaved all the hair off his body and didn't know what to do about the hair on his head. I will have to take a picture of him however I really didn't want anyone to have any proof of what I did for fear of being arrested. His hair is in his eyes and I know if I go at him again he will look even worse. I purchased a dvd on grooming him and it all looked so easy..ya..not even. I called the groomer and she is going to be away for another two Saturdays so maybe by then the hair will have grown out a little. One thing I am sure of he won't get any pee or poop on his hair cus he has none in those areas. I don't know if I have the courage to do it again or not. He sure looks much different than he did when I had him done by the groomer. lol On top of it all he is not at all happy being groomed so he sure wasn't helping me out any. I guess I had better stick to the bath and the toe nails, I can do them very well. I have two yorkies and after Wyatt I let the other poor guy alone. Only one bad haircut per household. |

| ![]() and I do have to say that she did an awesome job . . .for the convenience alone I will not complain about the $20 more per dog compared to dropping off at my regular groomer and then not seeing my furbutts for about 4 hours . . .It only took her 1/2 hour per dog . . .I think they LOVED knowing they were right in my driveway and weren't in a cage surrounded by other dogs . . . Ok . . .soooo introducing . . .their new Summer do's . . .

| ![]() OMG! I have not laughed this hard in a long time! I am so with ya, sista. I am a danger when weilding anything that can cut hair. I know my limitations and I don't even try to do it. Don't you just love the mobile groomer? My groomer now comes to my home and grooms my three dogs inside my home every 5 weeks. It's wonderful! She doesn't own a van. She's just getting started in having her own business. She still works part-time for two salons and then does private appointments on the side. And she is the BEST! I love her!
