Senior Yorkie Talker | How often you bathe your Furbaby? I am asking for a friend. She has a Yorkie with sensitive skin and she wants to know how often to bathe her and with what. My poochie gets a bath atleast every 2 weeks, but she doesn't want to over-do things and make her condition worse. Any suggestions on products or other wise would be greatly appreciated. (Hugs)

Senior Yorkie Talker | Thank you both. I told her in between what I normally do. Do you advise using Aveeno for people? I have heard of people to use it, but is it safe?

| I give Zeus a bath every Sunday. Not sure about Aveno but there are plenty of sensitive dog shampoos that you could use. |

| I'm new to Yorkies, but my cousin bathes her Yorkie weekly. I'm fostering a Yorkie right now & I've had her for 1 week. I bathe my smooth mini dachshund once every 3 months. |

I bathe my girl every Thursday! What a routine we have! And we both have a Weenie dog. How much does yours weigh (the weenie) I only bathe him when he smells, which is NOT very often. Lol

| We usually do a bath every 2 weeks if it's warm enough. I also use medicated shampoo and mediated conditioner.

| Hummm... i bathe every other week during winter as they spend most time inside, spring and fall they need more baths as we spend a lot of time outside ... backyard and beach. Summer may get too hot, either inside again or plying in the doggi pool... meaning almost everyday getting wet, not shampoo. the shampoo i like the most is petsilk, i love all about it. in the winter time i use the conditioner too, we live in a very old historic new england house, very drafty , radiator heating gets dry ... the conditioner help them softening the hair and skin. I heard of the oatmeal shampoo being good for sensitive skin, i am not sure if the use of the conditioner would help also but i guess it may be worthy to try as it can ad a little more protection. Also try to stay away from Human shampoo ... people and pets have very different PH, so the people shampoo will make things worse. Of course there are also some prescription formulas that may help. A vet advice would be needed for those. XOXO
