Shaved snout?

Looking for pictures of anyone who has shaved their yorkies snout ...curious as to what it looks like - in search of a new haircut and the hubby is tired of wet beards..has anyone tried this? Does the rest of the hair have to be cut short or can you keep a medium length with no beard and have it look okay?

ACK I did it....I wanted it to be cute and got the pic from someone posted of a yorkie in Japan. She looks like a papillon, but very cute!

Well, here's Tuffys' new "do". I've been growing the hair out on his face & it'd just gotten to the point that it was beginning to fall naturally off the bridge of his nose. Wouldn't you know it...the groomer didn't LISTEN! He's adorable either way & I know it'll grow back but ohhhh

I like Lacis face short like this picture, the rest of her body is shaved but I leave her legs and tail long

Thanks! I think he/she kinda looks like Momo too lol. He has the cottony thick hair to pull this look off. I need to keep his facial hair trimmed bc of his short snout. They tend to poke his eyes & he gets smelly face from the watery eyes. I'm excited to try this cut/look on him.

I shave Bud's but allow the hair to grow longer on the sides of his head.
I can't stand his mouth having hair in it when he eats.

This isn't really a shaved snout, I call it the inverted fan, and if you don't want to grow a topknot, it works really well. Some groomers shave the bridge of the nose, and you see this especially on Maltese, because the white hair stains badly if there is an eye discharge.

To the OP, shaving the snout tends to make the nose look longer, the inverted fan cut looks much better than a shaved snout in my opinion. The good news is that you can choose any haircut you like, there are no rules unless you are showing.

Bentley and Lexi both had theirs shaved, but not because I wanted them too! Anyway, here are some pics.

The first one of Lexi is the day the STUPID groomer shaved her nose REALLY short. The second one is now after it has grown some. The 3rd one is Bentley.
