| I also do the once a week bathing. But I do however juggle with the bathing schedule. His bath day use to be Friday nights before going to spend the weekend at my mom and dad's, but now we live with mom and dad so I'd like to change it to Sunday night after taking him out to the park or something. I do like to wipe his face sometimes.... I hate beard crustiness! GROSS!!!! However, if I plan to take him somewhere like say the beach, park, or on play dates with my cousin's dog or with cute little Uni on an odd day, I might hold out and let him get nice and dirty and then bathe him when we get back. What's the point of putting him through 2 baths so close together?

A friend was asking me the same question. He has a beagel and he told me he read it somewhere that you can only bathe your dogs twice a year. I cannot imagine how stinky Sandy will be if he only gets his bathes every 6 months. I bathe him once in 2 weeks. I'm very happy because he enjoys his baths.

Pann gets a bath every week or week and a half depending on how dirty he gets. I got him a chew bone thing and it turned him into a mummy; his front legs would get covered in whatever was on the bone and cake on him! so he got baths almost every other day because everytime I thought I threw it away he'd find another part! he liked being a mummy dog!

New to yorkie world and am wondering...is there any way to keep Chloe looking clean and freshly bathed longer, or am I doing something wrong? We've been averaging a bath ( w/baby shampoo ) once a week but it seems in no time the clean, fluffy baby turns into a straggly, greasy looking pup. Wondering if this is typical of the breed, I should be using something different, or is it just my dog? Thanks!

I've a puppy and I bathe him once every 2 weeks. In between his baths, I will spray some mink oil on his coat. Baby/human shampoo are not recommended for dogs. Try BioGroom Fluffy Puppy Tearless Shampoo

But I was wrong and now I bathe her every saturday. I put the heater on in the bathroom and I warm up a towel in the dryer and then I blow dry her. Once she is brushed out and dry I put a sweater on her to keep her warm. I never knew either that their fur is really not fur it is like human hair so if you didn't wash your hair for 3 weeks ewwwwww. a lot of us on YT are learning and I am thankful for all the help!
