| ![]() I have a yorkie that MAY be a mixture with a poodle..possibly only like a 4th poodle or somethin but he def has wavy/curlyish hair. He was a shelter dog so not sure. His hair grows AMAZINGLY messy and fast..i cant afford to always get him groomed, but when i do, he looks BEAUTIFUL!. i really wanna try to maintain his crazy hair myself during groomings, but im having definite trouble making it look good. He also has a very small chin area, unlike most yorkies ive seen he doesnt have a big square jaw..so like i said, possibly mixed, possibly not..anyway any ideas on how to groom him myself with the weird wavy hair???? or any videos free online that will show me? every one i look at has reg yorkies who have different hair type altogether.

| ![]() I have the same problem! In winter I let Chibi's hair get longer but the poodle hair in him makes it wavy and it just looks crazy sometimes. I've learned though the help of a groomer friend how to clip him myself though and I keep his hair manageable. I find leave in conditioners work fabulous for in-between bath brushings and wave taming. Check out his before and after- lol! |
