| To clip or not? Five weeks ago I had Rambo at the vets and they clipped around his eyes and now their growing out. They said its because the hair goes in his eyes. I do not want to clip anywhere near his eyes. Do you clip or not? Need answers.

| I do not. It is a bother until it gets long enough to lay down. You could try using some hair gel or pomade to help it lay down. |

| Thats a great idea. I've got hair gel. I wish they would not have done that. I know my moms Yorkie's were fine after they grew out. Rambo is only 5 months. How long before I can get his hair in a bow?

| It depends on the dog. Some grow faster than others. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I wouldn't use human hair gels, they aren't tested for safety. Petsilk Topknot gel is perfect for this, and you only use it on the short hairs till it grows out. Here's a picture of it. http://www.muttmart.com/mm5/graphics/00000001/PK122.jpg I found some on e-bay. You can usually put some sort of band and bow in by the age 3 months. This site has some great tips for putting the band in and getting puppy use to bows. Casual Way to Put Dog Bows In

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | if you want him to have a top knot then you need to leave it alone. i've heard the petsilk gel is really good for the little hairs (tho i have not used it). If you don't want a top knot then you need to cut the hair every month or so
