Yes, it is against AKC rules. But, as they say would you throw a cake out cause the frosting isn't perfect.

I know they have safe dyes for pets...but would personally never dye my own dogs...they're perfect the way they are. Even if not dyed, some people ask me if Mimi's hair is. I look at them like 'are you nuts' w/a smile & reply politely 'no'.

I am a hairdresser and took Laddy to the Beauty Supply House with me the other day and the ladies there asked me if I highlighted his hair. At first I stare at them in shock and then burst out laughing saying absolutely not can you see a 5and a half month puppy keeping foils in his hairEspecially a yorkie
