| ![]() My baby, Mia 4 months old, hates getting brushed. I can't get her to sit still, and I dont want to make it an unpleasant activity. I try to do it a little each day, but she hates it. I have a good comb and brush, and I try to give her treats, but she just wants to get away. Any suggestions??? |

| ![]() Penny was the same way...I could've kicked myself for not doing it earlier...But she came around ....rather quickly....Penny is a good listener...she knows I am the boss...so when she put up a lot of fuss...I sternly said "No".. every time she tried to run....she caught on quickly...Now she doesn't even run....(except if she is getting meds...but that's a another story)...and she gets treats when we are done....and she knows that....Repitition is the key.....same way every time....it works...

| ![]() I definitely agree with giving treats when she's finished. When Chelsea is being cooperative, I tell her what a good girl she is and give her kisses. She loves this and I think it helps to calm her some.

| ![]() My Daisy is the same, she hates it! She has an appointment next week at the groomer. In the meantime, I still try every day to brush and comb her. I have had better luck with putting a towel down on the kitchen table and sitting at the table to do it rather than on the floor with me reaching from above. She seems more comfortable with me at eye level. I do give her chewy treats during this time that she only gets during grooming so this way, they keep her interest. |
