| I actually started doing the same thing with Sophie that you've done for Shorty. And that is keep the back end clipped. cause her poopy would get stuck in the hair. I started this with her last groom session about 6 weeks ago. I'm leaving her sides grow in and they are at about her knee (the tummy is still shaved from her spay on March 10th). Her chest is not quite as long because that seemed to get tangled more than anything. But the hair there seems to be settling down now as she's getting older. She has the silky hair also. However, I'm afraid to go long in the face like your Shorty. I can see myself having a devil of a time keeping it nice like his is. So I wanted a modified "long hair" face and I loved Mimi's. She looks so sweet. Sophie does have a top not, but her eyebrows are clipped short. I'm letting that grow in to join into the top knot. I'll post pics after the big day! |

| Well I love the long full coats my self but I just shaved Mickey and Candy. we live in the country and well Candy is a mix and her under coat was matted a bit , I tried working on the matts a little each day but it was a little painful for her so I decided to just go ahead and shave her down. its summer and she love the out side so much its hard to keep her hair non matted she plays hard. so anyways I went ahead and shaved Mickey down too and they both love it. Here's a picture of the two of them plus the big bag of hair I cut off them LOL |

| I used Cricket's picture for Chase's last two groomings. I love the cut, it looks great on thick, cottony coats. Thanks!

| short hair pics Thanks so much! I printed out pics to take to groomer as well. Our first summer together and my hubby very leary about cutting his hair too short. This will ease his mind I think. Thanks again so much. I love this site. So helpful for a new Yorkie owner and the pics are all adorable! |
