| Buying a dryer? I was wondering if anyone has bought a good dog blow dryer? I am thinking about investing in grooming supplies so I can groom Keoki myself because it is getting way to expensive!!! I would need to buy a dryer though because he has so much hair and looked at the Chris Christensen one but it is very expensive - does anyone know anything about that one or any other?? I feel like in the long run I will be saving money if I invest in a good dryer- here in NYC it is $65.00 just for a bath!!!! Thanks for the info |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Since I have 4 dogs to groom now I have to grrom myself and my sister just bought me the Andes hands free dog hair dryer for Christmas. It's an inexpensive one but I haven't used it yet. I will post when I do. I am interested in seeing what others are using.

| I bought the $89 metro one from Pet Edge and it is OK. I can't decide if I prefer my hair dryer or the metro dryer. I have a nice dryer from Sally's that has cold-med-hot and the medium setting works well. The metro definitely gets them fluffier but it's not necessarily faster.

| I have the Andes hands free dryer too and I love it. It doesn't have that high pitched whine that my human dryer has that scares the pups so much. Also it is not supposed to get as hot as a human one (I think). I saw it in a catalogue for $20 (a couple of yrs ago) and took it to PetSmart and asked them to match the price. To my amazement they DID! I think I saw it at Petsmart recently for around $30.

| I know I will need a hands free and one that is powerful yet quiet- my regular hair dryer freaks Keoki out so I am appreciating this advice!!! |

| i groom both my babies.. and i use my CHI blowdryer(it's QUIET) or i also have a babyliss mini dryer that i use on them.. it's small yet powerful! works well for them!!! i LOVE my elchim blowdryer!! ..but it gets pretty hot.. so i don't really use it on them (although it's a FABULOUS dryer for humans )

| I love my Oster stand(hands free) dryer!! Its the best investment I have ever made!!! It makes grooming so very simple compared to when I sat on the floor with my human hair dryer wedged in my leg and having to hold the dog and groom him at the same time!!LOL It is also just about 20 years old and is still running great!!

| hands free dryer sounds like a great idea. i use my hair dryer, but i have to make sure it's not too hot for milu, i just put one hand on milu while i am drying her to make sure the temp is good. she runs around though, so i have to catch her (but it's fun, so i am ok with it)
