| Top-knot with claw clips? I've seen a lot of pictures of y'all pulling your baby's hair up with the little bitty claw clips. Lily's hair is just getting long enough that it needs to be pulled up and I bought some of the little clips today and put her hair up in her first little top knot(ish)! She looks sooo precious, but it keeps coming out when she shakes her head. Do I need to do a rubber band too? Her eyebrows haven't grown enough yet that's it's probably all the hair in it that it needs to be, so I don't know if it'll just do better when the top knot is really full. Just wondering! Thanks in advance!

| HI . I probably won't be of much help considering I have the same problem. When I do manage to get a clip in.... Chloe shakes her head the clip flies out and she tries to eat it I'm thinking maybe her hair isn't thick enough yet , I'm not sure. I will be watching to see the advice you get I'm hoping she gets thicker hair ( or I get better with the bows) because they look soooo cute with them in !

| Yes, you do have to put the hair up with a band and then you can place the clip or barrette over it. Here is a pic of Maybelline with pigtails at about six months old.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I use them with a band too, and never have a problem with them coming off. Maybelline looks so cute with her two little pigtails!

| ahhhhhh! I see! Totally makes sense. Now I'm wondering how in the WORLD am I ever going to get her to hold still enough to get a rubber band in. Geez. I do like the clips though for a little less "done up" look, you know?

| I use the claw clips without rubber bands and they stay in fine. I love them because they are sooo easy and I put up their hair everyday and hate using bands, unless I am putting a bow in.

| I order my bands on line, they are much smaller than those from Goodies, i find you have to wrap them around about 5x or so. The ones for grooming are smaller, like for kid's braces and only wrap them 2x and they stay perfect. You'll want to use smaller if you have a hard time keeping your pup still, they wrap in 2 turns and your done....good luck
