| Now what Can I do ? i decided to learn how to Groom Suzi myself. I bought A nice clipper set and watched the DVD too. Problem is, Suzi will not let me touch her ! As soon as she sees the scissors she takes off One time, I accidently pulled A mat, and she yelped. Since then, she has not co-operated. I have waited until she is relaxed, however, she is so smart, she gets a glimpse of the scissors and its over ! Suzi is 6 1/2 months . I do not know how to help her feel better and calm down so I can groom her anymore ! And suggestions would he great !

| It will probably take some lots of patience and lots of yummy treats! Have her on a leash or something and everytime you take out the clippers and the scissors, give her a treat. ... but dont do anything with them. Do this until she gets excited to see them and then start of slowly with lots of praise and treats. Keep the first sessions that you actually groom her short and sweet. If you jump right into this and her first times of grooming are negative, you will have problems forever! Good luck and I hope I helped a little! |
