I have a problem.My boy has almost no tail and I am trying to let his hair grow out,but every time he poops he is now getting poop on his coat.
I have done the sanitary cut back there so what is the problem.
(he has a thin coat)what am I doing wrong and do I need to cut more without making it too thin in the back.

You might have to wrap his coat back there to keep it clean.

The problem is..his tail is too short. My Pinkee is a litter pick I got 7 months ago...the owner of the bitch let a vet dock her tail and it is far too short...I know your problem.
I trim her butt hair and tail hair short, in fact sheis in a short clip all over to balance her butt...and use baby wipes when needed...

thank you.I have now started to put the tail hair in a pony tail so he is more comfortable.
