He's such a cute little boy anyway, and his hair will soon grow. (Too fast sometimes). Do they not have groomers where you live who come to your home? Mine does, and she asks me, as she's going, what I want. I hope you get a better one next time love. Hugs Shirl x x :animal-pa |
He's still a cutie! :) the same thing happend to me, i told the groomer that i wanted her hair to be a little longer in the face and body but short in the but, and when i came to pick her up she was completely shaven! I was soo furious! Now i stick with a mobile grooming truck so i can supervise! |
There are a lot of reasons why they don't follow what you tell them. Some are incompetent, some are just plain arrogant and don't care what you want. |
Someone asked about certification for dog grooming. I think you do. I know my local community college actually has a certification class for it. You might want to check at your colleges. |

I think each state is different as far as requirement, just because colleges offer it doesn't mean it a requirement, but what a good idea. I think many places offer on-the-job training. The thing to remember is that Yorkies need a more experienced groomer than other dogs. They really need a hair stylist, while most dogs can get away with a shampoo and manicure. |
in NJ you dont have to be certified |
Awww...he's a cutie anyway! Beautiful coloring. I've had the same trouble. Probably everyone that has every used a groomer has a similar story to tell. I asked for Nikki's ears to be clipped, but of course she hates the clippers, so what they couldn't do for her ears they made up for with her beard. She looked like a male. Not girlish at all. I'm going to take the other poster's advice and from now on add a disclaimer that I won't pay if directions are not followed. |
