Yup, Artist is a sweet kid with a heart of gold. I would take his B - on grooming skills for his A+++ attitude any old day. And by the way, why such talk by the judges about a hole in the dang van? There was nothing in the rules about that!

this show is awesome, I really liked jasper. thought he was like a big bear who truly loved dogs. but i am rootin for artist!

AW Jeez!!!!!!! Did you guys see the show tonight??? I am so bummed about Jorge getting eliminated!! I was soooooooooooo hoping that Jonathan would get the ax tonight...he is so cocky!!
Next week is the last one. I am pulling for Artist now!!!

i swear to god if artist came to my door and asked me to marry him i would SOOOO GO WITHOUT EVEN THINKING! (of course i'd take barbie with too!) hahaha hubby can't stand the show because all i do is say awwwe after everything he says! haha. i didn't wanna see jorge go

I agree, this show is the pits. These people are supposed to be top groomers, but Artist had never groomed a dog that needed to be stripped? The show is a lot more about the judges getting to show off and the groomers trying to win sympathy. None of them would get to touch one of my dogs. I would hate for anyone who doesn't know any groomers to see this show and think all groomers are like those people. These "top" groomers don't know a lot of the things any groomer knows. I watched two shows and won't be watching any more.

I love that show.

Finally the judges gave Artist some credit when they said he did a good job on his dog last night even though he's never stripped a dog before.

I was sorry that Jorge got eliminated last night though.

Now it's between Jonathan and Artist. No contest in who's the better person. Artist is by far............ Jonathan has been grooming dogs a lot longer than Artist has, so I give Artist a LOT of CREDIT for being one of the last two.

I Am Really Sad That Jorge Is Gone. I Know Most People Think Jorge Is Stucked Up Or Really Has A Big Head But He Is Not Like That At All In Person. He Is A Sweetheart And In My Opinion Excellent Groomer. The Show Seems To Make Him Look Like A Jerk But Not At All. And I Think Artist Will Win, Not Because He Is The Best Groomer But Because He Is The One That Need The Most Support. He Is Not Established Like Jorge And Jonathan.

O love this show! My hubby watches it with me, and he doesn't get into a lot of animal shows! We are SO rooting for Artist. He really deserves it. I hope they give it to someone who could actually use it. I think Jorge was hilarious! He reminds me of someone I know. He is very self-confident. Jonathan strikes me as a bit stuck up.

I knew Artist would choose that poor little matted guy. And I think he did an excellent job of stripping that terrier. My friend has Brussells and she would love him to do hers like that!

I was soo happy to see Jorge go. He was so full of himself. Did you see the clips they put together at the end. I hope Artist wins. He really does deserve it. He was giving willing to do anal glands and everything at the park. He really cares about the dogs. Jonathon is a good groomer but he's only in it for the title.

I am very proud of Artist. I really like him. But I do agree with another comment. I have to wonder why he is there being as inexperienced as he is. But, he learns fast, and has such a positive,caring attitude. That goes a long way with me.

While the show is really entertaining, it makes me very upset that Artist is still there. I have a hard time believing that he is a better groomer than Jorge. He also seemed to just get by in a couple challenges.

During judging this time, one of them said that while Artist's dog was beautiful, he cut the coat. Weren't they told that that is not the way to do it? Artist also said at least twice before challenges that he had never done whatever they were supposed to be doing before. If he is just learning, how can he be the best? And the judges give him credit for being a fast learner.

These are supposed to be good all-around groomers. They should know how to do just about everything and they should do everything well.

As far as the best groomer, I would not have a problem if Jonathan wins. He may not act the nicest on camera but it is a grooming show, so I think the best groomer should win as long as he/she can come across nicely to their clients and dogs.

with 17+ years experience. I have shown dogs (yorkies) as well. I would hire Artist over Johnathan and day! he has the heart to go all the way, but I doubt that he will win simply because J. has more experience. I am just hoping that some celebrity (like Oprah) will step up and give Artist a van of his own to help him get established. He is providing for a young son too...
I do hope he wins it iall though, especially since J. said he did not want to be a mobile groomer. "I am a groomer, not a driver"...IMO he does not deserve to win that van if he would not even use it.

By the way, even with all of my experience as a groomer, I have never stripped a coat either. That is usually reserved for show dogs, and most show people do their own grooming. I was taught the technique when I was a student groomer, and have never had a client ask me to do this for them.
So please don't hold that against Artist. I don't think too many groomers do a lot of hand stripping.

Is this actually the case??? This is for show dogs? My friend was told by her groomer that they(her brussells) MUST be done like this. They look really nice, but I always wondered if it was really neccessary for three dogs(her two, plus the one that lives with the ex-shared custody) that are pets only.

I think the judges made the right decision. Artist deserved to win.

He has heart and talent. And he is a great role model for is community.

And to think... he is self- taught. YAY for Artist (who is aptly named!!!)
