I read somewhere you can poke their nails through a stocking and do it that way,

I do know I use my dremel alot and have gotten hair on like a golden retrievers paw stuck in it and it shuts down when it gets binded up and the dog is unphased. But not something Im willing to risk on a long haired dog

I have tried it a few times - dogs hate it. I tried it on my boy today - 2nd time I have tried - and he literally screamed like a person like I was killing him!!! I have never ever hurt him in any way! Very frustrated!

That's not true, lots of members here own them and have a lot of success with them, including myself.

I just checked out the ad for this item !!! It really looks very good. I think mine would have to get used to the noise of it. They also would tend to sound like I was killing them. I use a personal clipper for around there faces once in a while, but the first time I used it Lucy yelped so loud I was sure I had cut her...

You gotta let them scream it out. If you give up every time they scream they have won. Teach them its ok to do these things to them. Eventually you will win

Noise? That's one of the nice things about the Peticure Petite is the quietness. It makes less noise than my little hair trimmer. Neither Ruby nor Reno were bothered at all by the noise.

I wasn't trying to be rude, I'm sorry I offended you. No need to get so upset. You said "dogs hate it". I was simply saying it's not true that dogs hate it, because many dogs, including mine, don't hate it.

You're right, I went back and looked and that was a typo - I meant to say MY DOGS HATE IT. My bad!

I just returned mine. I hated it. It took forever to groom the nails. Come on only a few seconds at a time. The dogs were freaked out by it. The two cats were fine but they don't care if I cut their nails anyway.
