| Hair breaking off Emma is a little over a year old she has never had a hair cut and I'm wondering if it's time... her hair is pretty long and silky but it's thin she still has her puppy black and the hair above her eyes seems to be breaking off I don't keep her hair up since her hair is so thin they wont stay in. I feed Canidae and use groomax shampoo. TIA for any help you can give.

Regular brushing will help loose the black puppy hair. A TRUE silk coat is not a thick coat but a thin one.

| My yorkies name is Emma too. She has always had issues with her hair. It's very fine and if it breaks if it gets to a certain length. i think its that way because her skin is so dry |

| Great question Malissa! LilyGrace has a very thin, but long coat. Her hair on her head breaks off very easily...so we try only use coated bands for her little "alfalfa" spring of hair. So, I am looking forward to what others say!
