| bathing?? I have an 11 week old male and I was just wondering is this too early to start bathing him? He has long wavy hair so I wanted to brush/bath him reguarly, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't too early or anything! Thanks! |

| I am sure he will be Ok as long as the room is warm, you use dog shampoo, and make sure you dry him well afterwards. I am afraid I am a bad Mum I only bath my dogs when really necessary! |

| Penny is going on 10 weeks and I, too was wondering if bathing was ok. I think she is gonna hate it. She hates when I run water while holding her.LOL

| Better to start the grooming process when they're young so they can get used to it! The first bath is SO much fun Good luck!

| Bathing is just fine. Maybe you should just blow dry him when you are done!

| 5 bathed Sadie around this time. I got her when she was 10 weeks. The one thing I wouldn;t do is bath your pup the first few days they are at your home. It is a shock for them to be in a new home... you don't want to over stress them. After they are used to their new home they should be ok. Sadie was very stressed with her first bath... I'm glad I waited two weeks to bath her. she takes a while to get used to new situations.

| I've given mine baths since they first came home. One was 8 wks old (I know to young) and she was shipped and was covered in poop and wet food. The other was shipped and a mess and smelly at 11 wks old so they got baths asap. Yes, I know it takes me a while to learn lessons, and always the hard way but I wouldn't trade either of them for the world

| I bathe at 3 1/2 weeks I bathe puppies after there eyes open and are walking around. I use J & J baby shampoo, so if I get it in there eyes it does not hurt.

| I bathed Samson for the first time about the same time. We warm his towel up in the microwave (right next to the kitchen sink where he gets bathed - really convenient!) and he loves it!
