| What is in your grooming bag? I was just wondering what everybody uses to groom their yorkies? What kind of brush, comb, and conditioning spray? I think my pup is in the inbetween coat stage. He has an inch of dark silver roots followed be an inch of black then another inch of almost white and finally an inch of black puppy fur. His head, legs and chest are a light tan. I don't know what type of coat he has yet. It is very soft, easy to comb, does not tangle, even after a bath, but is a little frizzy. After a bath I just let him run around the house crazy untill he is dry and then I comb him. I was just wondering what I should be using on his coat. |

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | I have a Chris Christenson (CC) buttercomb, CC brush and also a Mason Pearson brush. I use Vellus products for the show boys for show days....and in between I use Summerwind products (including protect a coat to keep them in oil). For Sailor I use an Oatmeal shampoo only due to skin allergies and for Magic I use Petsilk and Coat Handler......yep, I have a whole shelf of "products"!! But also in my grooming bag is scissors, nail clippers, a waterless shampoo, poop bags, baby wipes, pen & paper and treats & a treat bag, and a Isle of Dog Spritz - Evening Primrose for right before going into the ring.

| I have a pair of Andis clippers, nail clippers and file, slicker brush for small dogs, comb for small dogs, pin brush, scissors and thinners, ear cleaner, Petsilk or ShowSeasons shampoo and conditioner. I always clip first, then bathe and blow dry. This gets the loose hair out of her coat.

| I use a metal comb, (ametal flea comb on the face and eye area.) Cotton balls ( I wet them to help get the gunk out of thier eyes) Rounded scissors peroxide (I use 1/2 peroxide, 1/2 warm water to wipe my older yorkies eyes to help with tear staining) cat nail clippers... (they work fine if you can do the nails, I can't...so I pay) tape from when sadie had her ears taped
