| Dandruff/dry skin I recently bought my yorkie and I give him baths like twice a month. But I just recently noticed that he has like dandruff and I noticed that his skin is really dry. Is there anything I can do to make it go away or make his skin not so dry? Am I using the wrong type of shampoo or should I just be taking him to get groomed and not doing it myself? |

| I had the same problem wit my yorkie I took him to the vet and he gave me prescribed shampoo it was unexpensive. My vet said he had some type of mites you might want ot go get him or her checked. Just to be safe.

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | If it's the original puppy food then this may be the reason your yorkie has dandruff. Ground Whole Grain Corn, Chicken By-Product Meal. Corn can cause allergies and also dry and itchy skin, which will cause the dandruff. Chicken by-product meal consists of the ground, rendered, clean parts of the carcass of slaughtered chicken, such as necks, feet, undeveloped eggs and intestines, exclusive of feathers YUCK! would you want to eat that? lol I would really do some searching on foods. You will be so surprised what they put in some of that stuff! |

| I agree the food may be causing the dry skin. I'm sure your vet can give you a special shampoo if you can't find any at your local pet store.
