| Wont hold still Aiden really needs a trimming. On his nose, ears and paws. So I get the trimmers out but cant keep him still long enough. Im not afraid of messing up because its just hair, but I dont want to poke his eyes out while doing his nose. Does anyone have any tricks to keeping theres still? |

| All of my dogs are impossible to trim unless they are on the grooming table. The only problem I have on the grooming table is with Lacey and only when cutting her nails. Other than that they all stay pretty still. If I try to groom them anywhere else, it does not work.

| When we trim Jake's hair, we wait until he's tired and do it then. We put him on a table, and he is learning to stay still. It takes a few trimmings before they realize that if they stand still, it's much faster!

Try holding on to their chin hair and trimming or get a groomers helper for that grooming table does wonders

| I have the same problem with Otis he does not want to hold still. I have to trim the hair on his butt, because when he poops it gets stuck in his hair if I don't shave it. He hates the sound of the clippers and when I trim the hair around his face and eyes, I am afraid I will poke his eyes out or something. I love doing the grooming myself, but if I can't get him to hold still I may have to start taking him to a groomer to do it. That scares me because I don't want anyone to be mean to him or hurt him and if I do find one that will be good to him, I don't want them to cut him too short......Oh, well I guess I need to do alot of researching and asking questions....

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Can you tell me what it is about their feet that makes them so nervous. I never ever nipped her and even as a baby when I tried to caress her feet so she would be used to it she would get upand want to run off.
