| NYC - Community Pet Goods Swap Meet June 3rd Hi, I am planning on having a Swap meet in honour of my adopted yorkie mutt Sigmund Freud. Its on June 3rd from 10am to 11:30am on Sunday morning (i.e. tomorrow). The early timing is to coincide with the dog park hours at Stuyvescent Dog Park which is open from 7am-11am on Sunday mornings. Although not specifically a small dog park, its quite large, on concrete and in most cases have concientious owners so is quite fun for the dogs. (Sometimes it even turns into an inpromtu yorkie fest). It is located on 2nd Avenue between 15th and 16th Street on the east side (http://www.spdog.org). There is a regular park on the west side of 2nd Avenue right opposite the Dog Park. It has a couple of picnic tables. That's where I will be with coffee and snacks (although I don't know how long they will last so come early). I am hoping people will bring their gently used dog toys, accessories clothes etc that their dog no longer uses to either share with another dog owner with anything unclaimed going to Earth Angels, the charity I rescued Sig from. I will also be collecting towels, blankets and anything else that you may want to donate for both Earth Angels (the dog rescue) and Kitty Kind (the cat rescue). If you are around (and not sleeping in), we would love to meet you!!! Thanks. Zahra & Sigmund Freud |
