| Vet Recommendation for Westchester,NY Does anyone on this board live in the area of Westchester,NY? I live in New Rochelle,NY and am looking for a new vet. My current vet is OK but he has been acting strange lately. I'd rather not mention his name but every time I ask him a question he doesn't answer me and also he is a bit expensive. Luckily he did a great job on my Yorkies surgery this past Monday but I would like to go to a vet who is more friendly, answers my questions, and is a bit less expensive. Any suggestions? | I live in The Bronx but we have two vet offices we go to . County Animal Clinic, on Central avenue, in yonkers and the visit price is $56. Once your pet has been seen there you can bring them 24/7 for emergency and the ER visit is $106.00. Ive taken the babies there and they have been very good. The main vet i got to is The Humaine Society Of New York( our vet is Dr. Rubenstien) on 59 st b/w 1 and 2 avenues . They charge $30 for visits and since they are nonn profit all their procedures are really inexpensive. Below I've included their websites so you can check it out. www.countyanimalclinic.com www.humanesocietyny.org good luck finding someone for your baby.

| I'm also looking for a new vet in westchester, new york. I live in Hartsdale, near white plains and the vet I go to wants to spay Mckenna for $500 and he charges $58 for a visit, no matter what the visit is for. I need a vet/vet office that is still good quality but a little less expensive. the county animal clinic link the post above gives seems like a good vet office to try. the humane society seems like a great place to try also, but it's a little far for me. | We just moved to Westchester and we've been to Central Animal Hospital in Scarsadale only for a nail trimming, so we cant really say to much about it. But, I will tell you, we called 2 other places in the area and they wouldnt take us for a nail trimming because we werent current paying clients!! They were very, very nice and the office was also very clean. I remember one vet coming out to get a patient (a Boston Terrier) and he was interacting with the dog so nicely. I'd definately go back. |
