| Anyone heard of Ivan's yorkie from Staten Island? Anyone heard of Ivan's yorkie from Staten Island? Claims to be a private breeder. Just wondering if anyone has any experience, or knows anything about them? Any info would be greatly appreciated. |

| Ok - there is a write up on them here in YT and it's not good. Please look at the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America or the Canadian YT Club for members who breed. Here's the YTCA's Yorkshire Terrier Club of America About The Club

| There website also says they breed English bulldogs, French bulldogs as well as Yorkies. I'd be careful. |

| made a visit - bit of a strange setup. It was in a private house - they had 4 yorkies in a single cage (plus few other larger dogs in seperate cages). Out of 4 yorkie pups, 1 didn't get up at all. Don't know much about dog - but seemed bit odd - you would think stranger walks in - a puppy would at least get up and do something. The other 3 seemed not so active (not an expert - but that's my impression). The breeder - Ivan Blume is supposedly at CT & he sells his puppies over from Staten Island (some lady takes care of showing, appointments etc.). Of course, prices are much higher than what was told over phone. In any case, didn't have any good impression, so decided to pass. |

| I'm sorry I just came back on and saw where you asked for the post about them on here. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...n-breeder.html Look down to post #10 - JCarlson has been on here a long time - I didn't need to look any further after she posted. My recommendation to you is to find an experienced breeder through YTCA - if someone in your immediate area doesn't have a pup they will recommend another YTCA breeder to you. Please do not think that because these people show that their prices will be higher than anyone else's - I've yet to find one that is. It's usually the other way around. If you really need someone to help you out - I'm sure that Mardelin would be more than happy to as she's been in the Yorkie world for quite some time. I don't know where you live in NJ but you might consider getting a pup from a good breeder up in Canada. Mardelin knows them, too. Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with. I hope you can find the puppy of your dreams

| You could always look into a rescue also. They turn out to be the best dogs and have so much love to give. I have two rescues and I get more love from them that you can imagine. It is like they know that I saved them. The other day I was in a pet store with a friend who just had to go and the whole time I was telling her that the puppies in this store come from a puppy mill, in a loud voice so that all could here me, and the owners asked me to leave lol lol. I think I got my point across before I left the store. |
