| ![]() Hi guys, Can anyone recommend a groomer that you've used before or is currently using for your Yorkie? I live in Queens NY, but I'll check out any recommendations in the city or neighboring boroughs as well. Also, if you've used one of these groomers, can you post a pic of your pets haircut? I tried a local place but I was dissapointed with the outcome. My wife and I have been giving him little trims here and there, but I think it's time we get him a full body haircut. We don't want it too short, just neat...and "Yorkie Looking". lol. The last place we used cut his hair like a schnauzer. Thanks! |

| ![]() Hi- if you want to go all the way to Manhattan- Canine Styles on Lex and like 61st? is Excellent. i used to live in NYC and used Karen's for people and Pets- Jonathan- from the runner up from that show that was looking for the best groomer- can't remember the name was absolutely awsome and soo nice as well. but they have closed and i belive that Canine style took over their store- or something to that nature. Anyway...i used them a few times when i lived in NYC for my Chloe and a few years ago when i was visiting. SO...they are VERY experienced w/ yorkies, have been in business it seems like forever (which says something) and will do exactly what you would like- it's worth the trip and the $$- some place might be less exspensive- but this is worth it. where i moved they did not know how to tip her ears, would use a razor etc.... try them!! good luck. i belive they have several locations now. nbut i always used the Lexington one by Bloomies i got her a puppy cut- b/c i didn't know when i would be back- and she looked soo cute. i can't even remember now what the very small problem i had with something i felt should be cut a little differently on her face and they are so gracious about fixing it immediately- they really want you to be happy. good luck! ![]()

| ![]() Just curious what Canine Styles is charging? I have 2 and it seems to run me close to $200 adding in the tip there every time I groom so the last few times I had them groomed - I had my breeder do it when I traveled and she dog sat. I would rather give her the cash! I keep meaning to contact the NY club to see if there are any city show people that would be interested in grooming. I always think that would be a perfect side gig for show people to do freelance and who could possibly be better. |

| ![]() Yes if you find that let me know because it is so expensive- Canine Styles runs me $100.00 with tip every time and that is quite steep but i so want it done right. |
