| it was a lot of fun; the bags had lots of goodies for me and the dog. kalina you mentioned a new bed; were they giving those away? it was really hot; however i kept putting water on my dog to keep her cool and she drank few times; we were only there from 10 to 12; we got so many bags and samples we had to make 2 trips to the car. lots of makeup, shampoo, conditioner, hair spray, mascara, blush, bronzer, lipstick, moisturizer....... and lots of food and treats for the dog. this was my first time and i cant wait for next year. let me know if anyone knows of similar events besides this one. thanks everyone.

| It was a great event! We had so much fun, I brought Duke, my bf, sister and a friend came. The sun was brutal. We didn't get many samples for Duke bc he's pretty fixed on things that he likes. Duke did tho entered the yorkie race and was the winner for the first leg of the race and placed 3rd overall. I think it was because the judge was looking at the other yorkie when Duke came in first but we got a gift basket that's filled with goodies for mommy, daddy and grooming supply for Duke. So proud of him. We had to represent for YT. We met London from YT as we were waiting for the race. There were a lot of yorkies there as well as other dogs of all sizes . Will def go again next year.

| Hot, Hot, Hot! London and I had a blast and look forward to next year too. It was blazing hot, but we took frequent breaks in the shade, drank lots of water, and didn't let her walk much. I probably should have put her in the pools too, but she already had 2 baths in one week and I was afraid to dry out her skin if she needed another bath after swimming. We arrived at 8:30am to get great parking and beat the lines and beat some of the heat. There were about 20 people ahead of us waiting for the gates to open at 9am. We made a first pass of booths stopping only at the dog food campanies, who were offering some very nice sample packages to take home. Many vendors had a "small bites" size if we asked. After that first pass, our arms were full and we dropped off our bootie in the car. Then we hung out in the shade for about 30 minutes, watching the Ultimate Airdog competition. For round two, we took our time leisurely viewing each booth and activity. We did a little of the agility course, but mostly London kept running for the shade. I don't blame her! After lunch in the shade, we did the Yorkie Race. It was fun to meet MyDuke and her Duke from YT. London definitely missed the concept of the race...once again she made a beeline for the nearest shady spot to lie down London was panting heavier than ever when we got in the car (yes the car was cooled down already), even though she walked no more than 20 minutes throughout the whole 4.5 hours we were there and was mostly in the stroller and mostly in the shade. I was very worried about her, and almost took her back to the event for a vet check just in case. She calmed down after a few minutes thank goodness. Next year we will probably just go for 2 hours first thing in the morning, and be sure to use the pools and misting stations. It would be great if the event were in a cooler month, but I guess being affiliated with Susan G Komen foundation there are alot of restrictions on what this event can compete with. |

| It was too damn hot - why don't they do this event in May or October? Great goody bags and lots of samples but it took us 2 1/2 hours to get there to spend 5 hours in the hot sun. Needlesstosay, the pups were in the stroller the whole time unless we were dunking them in the pools. We did get to watch the yorkie race but my fat boy wanted no part of it. Sorry we didn't meet anyone from YT - just so many people and pups! |

| We went also and agree that the heat took away from some of our enjoyment. It was unbearable! Milo held up well to a point and then simply sought shade under a vendor's table and refused to move. I am sorry that we did not invest in a stroller for the event! We carried Milo around for a while and then headed home. We were able to cool him off in the kiddie pools 2 or 3 times but waited until the water was changed as some were absolutely filthy. The misting tent also helped a bit. We did get tons and tons of free stuff...some food that I have wanted to try (TOTW and Innova), lots of Wellness samples (what we use now), and tons of other stuff that we gave away to friends and family. My daughter and I love freebies so we took just about everything. The trunk of her car was loaded! Milo competed in the costume contest and we did enjoy watching that (in the shade). We missed the Yorkie races but did bump into Elisandra from YT. All in all, it was a nice day but would have been far more enjoyable in May or October as suggested by 4yorkiemom. |

| Aww, it sounds like you all had so much fun. I bet it was hot. We had a few guest from out of town and we were supposed to grill out but put it off until late in the day. I will definitely go next time. I wish it was in a cooler month too! |

| My friend Cynthia & Bambi, Rocky and I got to the event around 10:45 or so and boy was it extremley hot. We started to make our rounds and the dogs just wanted to lay under the vendor tables where there was shade. Out of the 3 years that we have gone this has got to be the hottest one ever! I have never put him in the little pools because they are always so dirty. But luckily we found one that was not as dirty as the rest. It was just to hot they were panting so much and around Rocky & Bambi's eyes got red the inside of their ears were also red. So we wet them with the water and Rocky hardly ever drinks from water bowls but there was one with ice the he laid down in front of and was drinking it. We did see alot of Yorkies there which is always fun, I act like a little kid when i see Yorkies. Milo's mom was like hey are you on Yorkie Talk are you Elisandra i was like yes ! Thats so funny Milo is such a cutie pie tooo we were ready to go eat i was starving. We stood untill about 3pm because it was to Hot. We got the $25 goodie bag which was worth it! Who knew Kheils made a Dog shampoo and conditioner. I love love love Kheils and use their lotion and shampoo's on myself. But i never knew they had a dog brand we got so many goodies. The only thing i bought was the Paul Mitchell shampoo and spray conditioner for after a wash. All in all it was a great day, it was a little to hot i did get a sun tan lol. It was all for a great Cause! See you all next year Pic # 1 - $25 goodie bag Pic # 2 - all the goodies we got Pic # 3 - Rocky Recycling ha ha ha he was in my bag to hot on the floor
