| ![]() This is from the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America, not some hack propoganda site. Yorkshire Terrier Club of America (Awards) Do not buy from a pet store, they get their dogs from puppymills. A reputable breeder will not have "christmas puppies", also be aware of brokers, and back yard breeders that are just breeding dogs without full knowledge and testing. Unless you are set on a puppy, look into a yorkie rescue org. there are quite a few in the area. It sounds like you need to do some more research on the breed and what to expect.

| ![]() Welcome! You are off to a good start asking questions. By doing a few searches through old posts, you'll find a plethora of info on selecting a dog (what breed, male or female, puppy or adult, what to look for in-person) and responsible breeder or rescue organization. Also if after doing some more research you determine that a rescue dog is right for you, there was a recent post about a rescue dog in Cliffside NJ. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...usebroken.html Good luck! |

| ![]() Carmen, Hi its Patty from Kenvil, NJ. I am interested in your breeder. I am going to start looking for a Yorkie puppy in February this year. We would like to add a puppy to our family. How do your Yorkies get along, any problems? Bella is very friendly and loving but at first she is really excited and in your face, just wanting to play. After a few minutes she calms down and is funny. .................................................. ............ ![]() |

| ![]() Very suspicious if someone is selling a dog at 7 weeks, no matter what breed.
