Hi Kathleen from Clinton and welcome to YorkieTalk. Cocoa is 7 months and about 4 lbs. She also has a great sweet, east going personality. This is my first dog since I was a kid and I have fallen in love with this breed. How did you decide to get a yorkie ? Bonnie

Hi, Piper is not my first Yorkie. I had a male , Chipper, for 13 years. Last winter I had to make the difficult decision to put him down because he was suffering from bladder cancer. I said that I wouldn't get another but I cried every day for my little guy and decided that the only way I was going to move on was to get another Yorkie. That was the best thing I ever did. Piper is so different than Chip but just as delightful. Chipper will always have a large piece of my heart but Piper has wiggled her way in and I love her as much as I did him.

I'm new here and just saw your post. I have a three yr old yorkie and we bought him at privately owned pet store called Puppy Luv in Danbury CT. I've been there a few times and they always have a few very cute yorkies in the shop. I hope this helps.

Hi, I'm new to YT. I am the proud pop of Mitzi - a 13 week old female. She is absolutely gorgeous. She has brought so much joy and love into my life. My parent's both have health issues and I have taken her to visit twice. She is turning out to be quite the therapy dog; you should see their faces light up when she gives them kisses. Sometimes I catch myself just watching her sleep - - - sigh. I live in Westbrook.

Mitzi had a hard day. She had to clean the house, chase the cats and she is now napping in the sun. She is doing pretty good, I guess, at potty training. I use the crate method, but only at night or when I can't watch her every moment. This area is plagued with coyotes and now fisher cats! Last summer, there was one in our fish pond. I go to Killingworth Animal Hospital and they have told me horror stories about fisher cat and pets. Please, be careful with your baby - at all times. Mitzi is going on a field trip this afternoon to East Haven. A good friend of mine will be watching her next Wednesday; I'm already missing her.

| I live on River Road in Clinton. Killingworth is a little less than a mile down the road. I have seen a fisher in my back yard last year and I always see coyotes at the river. I never let my little one run loose and she always has somebody watching her when she is in her outdoor pen. You also have to look out for the hawks. I go to the Clinton Veterinarian Hospital. I've been going there for 30 years and have been very happy with them. I have heard very good things about the Killingworth Hospital.
