Good think we checked before heading out. Its a shame I was looking forward to seeing all the yorkies together, unfortunately next week we'll be in Boston.

I'm at the location with a nice lady with a beautiful yorkie. We are feeling nice breeze and a nice view. Too bad that it got cancelled. It would have been great.

We had great time. Two more yorkies showed up. The park was so beautiful. I think I want to move to nyc next year.

Tucker HATES the heat so if it's above like...90...he is miserable outside.

I agree that it was best for the best interest of our furbutts to change the meetup. This meetup is more for us than them (LOL), so I'd think we'd want to do it on a day where we can talk and hang out having fun without having even MORE to worry about with our pups.

Because it is close to the water, there was really nice breeze there and there is a nice shade area that some dogs were relaxing. I didn't feel so hot there. Now I'm at 10 Ave 48th street and it is too hot.

I loved the park there. Sitting under the shade was so great.

Hi All:

I am glad that those who went today had an enjoyable day. I am sorry I didn't join you and have a fun day with you but I felt more comfortable erring on the side of caution.

NOW.....for those who decided to hold off till next week I was wondering if anyone is going to pack a lunch....Bailey's bar is dog friendly but I am not sure what kind of food they have if they serve food at all. I am guessing there will be ice cream trucks around...I guess we can eat ice cream all day in a pinch till we get to the bar (sounds like fun to me

).

I can honestly say that if it turns out that there is a parade I don't think it will interfere cause they are usually in the morning and by 1 or 2 it is usually cleared up.

SO...I am hoping to see all of you next week if you can make it

We had to reschedule because we dont want to take chances when there is still heat wave around. That was the main concern. Hopefully in a couple of days we would be able to see what kind of weather it will be on Sunday. I cant wait to meet you all.

we were gonna go yesterday but as i stepped out, it was way too hot for the babies and I was afraid they would get heat stroke. I am so hoping that the weather will be cooler next sunday because I want to meet you all!!

July is HOT in NYC, why don't you change the date till September?
Or just not cancel when you have a date, as (4) yorkies showed up and maybe others would have too.
Who is "in charge" of cancellations? Perhaps others may want to go = have more than one meet up for your friends.
It was cooler at the park with the breeze.

Well....I went to the city and was in the SOHO area and it was HOT as HELL. Both me and hubby were glad we didn't bring the furbutts as it was way toooooo hot for them! Looking forward to next Sunday
