| I live up on a mountain in Rockland County, NY and we have a breeding population up here of hawks. Now with the trees bare you can see the old nests up in the branches and they are very large! In the summer they fly over the pools and their wing span is enourmous. We see one everyday flying over head. Buddy jumps up and barks at them. Of course he's on a leash but I don't think they could get him off the ground, however, if he were left in a yard the hawk could severly hurt him, I'm sure. Yes, they have multilplied over the last couple of years and now the Eagle has migrated here as well. Only saw it once. But they are here also. |
