What to Bring!? We're leaving tomorrow night for Nantucket and I just wanted to see what you guys think I should bring for the furkids! I'm bringing 2 gallon bags of their food in ziplocks Hair Brush/Elastics/Bows Treats Clothes Harnesses Leashes (flexi for the beach) and standard Collars w/tags Baby Wipes/Antibacterial Wipes Food Bowl/Water Bowl Assorted Toys Blankies Pee Pads They're traveling in the back of our jeep in this : http://www.sitstay.com/store/equip/softcrate-n.shtml In the soft sided crate, I don't think I'm providing food or water.. we are stopping every 2.5 hours so I was going to give a little snack, water and let them stretch their legs. We're leaving at 3 in the morning, so around 130 am or 2 am I planned on feeding them wet/dry food, then feeding them at 1 in the afternoon when we get to the rental house.. is that too long in between? I will be providing snacks.. please give me your ideas. They will have their huge metal "great dane size" crate to stay in, in the rental house will we are away. Is there anything I'm missing or anything extra I should be doing? I just want to make this as smooth as possible. Their soft sided crate is really cozy, dark and den like so I think that will make them more comfy than a rattling metal crate (at least I hope so). I put a fuzzy crate pad in there, along w/two go fetch bone pillows and a fleece blankie.. I am so nervous!

Wow! Can you believe that TOMORROW is the big day for traveling! How exciting. I would add to the list: Water from home unless you give them a name brand bottled water. Sometimes a change in water can cause an upset tummy.

I would definitely take bottled water. You might want to take their shampoo and conditioner just in case they need a bath while you're away. Have fun!!
