| Big move ?? so i want to move out of my parents house in Pa and move to FLORIDA .. { i know crazy idea} ... does anyone have tips on how to adjust a spoiled 6 year old ??... he will be leaving his grandma and pop , aunt and uncle and baby max for the first time in his life. I feel bad doing it but i think its the best for me and him. he will be the only dog in the house again and i fear he will go through the depression stage. i was considering leaving him here for a year untill i get my self situated down there .. get a job and make sure its the right place for me before i drag him out of his comfort zone.. but i would miss his terrible ..... ahhhhhhh |

| Personally, I would leave him there till I found a place to live that was pet friendly & knew it was safe for him to stay alone while I was at work. My babies happiness & wellbeing are my #1 priority & I don't think I would be comfortable not knowing the safety of the new place & area. |

| I would never leave Jackson behind if I were moving but him and I are literally two peas in a pod. We are always together lol. He's 100% my dog. He's used to traveling and doing new things so I think he'd adjust well, as long as we are together, he doesn't seem to have a problem. I am sure he would miss everyone we are living with (my mom, stepdad and sister) but the dog will have to adjust either way. Leaving him at home will just cause him to create a stronger bond with your parents, IMO, and make it even harder to take him in the future. Might as well do it now. I sleep at my dads house a few nights a week as well and they have two dogs - Jackson always gets a bit sad when we leave but then he's happy to be back in our regular home too. They adjust.

| We have moved around since Sprocket came to live with us but it does not matter where we live, he is with me, always, I also could never leave him anywhere. Take him, atleast you will know if HE likes the place you choose for living, even if it's a temp.

| Florida would be nice! It sounds like you made the right decision for now... It's important to be financially stable when making a huge move like that
