| See, there are serious pros and cons to both. Everyone has strong opinions and very valid reasons for each. I got very used to being able to crawl into the sleeper of our truck when driving OTR. We had all the comforts of home, just not the length. Occasional breakdowns are just worth being able to sprawl on a queen size bed going down the road. And pulling a little beater behind gives us our runabout. But, yes it is a more expensive upkeep. Tough decision. Thank god for the internet and research, research, research.....

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | We have an exteded cab also, and a single snoozer carseat. I plan to keep the trailer ready to roll since hubby is the type to say on Thursday night we're leaving at the crack of dark Saturday morning for somewhere. lol My brother, son and nephew drove OTR for years. If I had a semi with a sleeper I wouldn't worry about breakdowns so much. They seem to handle wear and tear better than the motorhomes. (sometimes)

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | The passenger seat isn't as cush as the drivers to start with, bobtail would get old fast.

| and bounce bounce bounce..... you know why women make better truck drivers than men, and they can drive longer distances? 'cuz it's easier and more comfortable to sit on a box than a bag of nuts ah crap, yeah I went there....

| Does anyone use the bowls that don't spill? I think the RV is all linoleum but I'll get a couple of these if they're worth it.

| yes, they are a lifesaver. They really work. The lid snaps on. The inside sides slope down into a bit smaller hole in the middle, so the water sloshes around but doesn't spill out.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Speaking of dog dishes, I found some disposable dog dish liners on the clearance shelf at the pet store. I got 2 pkgs for $6.00 they are called Bamboo Liners. I already forgot how many were in a pkg. You don't need to use them as liners you can use them as a disposable bowl on RV trips! They are round, clear plastic. I wouldn't suggest them if you have a dog that chews however. No need to wash dog dishes if you feed any kind of wet food.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Beautiful! Cute doggie too. lol I watched a thing on tv once about motor homes that said the best ones were built on the same frames as city busses etc. But they are VERY expensive!
