Oh no! Try putting both in one carrier even if that means you have to go out and buy another one. I've heard of others doing that and they had no problems. Good luck and I wouldn't put your other baby in the cabin for 18 hours...he could die.

Thank you for everyones help and prayers!! We had NO problem with them!! They didn't evem mention any prior reservations or anything such! All that stress! So our totall trip ended up being around 20 hours, Jake and Jenny did great!of course with help of sleepy pills

We just came into our "second" home an hour ago, and theyre already passed out next to me. Thank you everyone!!!

But don't you have to take the dog(s) out of the carrier when you go through security?

Security doesn't care.. it's only the people at the ticket counter that care.

Whew glad it worked out OK!
One time I had the flight attendant make me put one in the overhead!! I was hysterical! After they threatened to kick both of us off, I submitted.. but only during take off and landing.. It was horrible! Others can take out their laptop, I took out my dog!
