| Question about traveling out of the country Hey has anyone traveled with their yorkie (or any other dog) out of the country with a 12+ hour flight? I always wondered this because I travel to Asia a lot. I don't think I could ever bring her though because she is very "talkative" to say the least I was wondering.. how would they pee?? Would they have to be in a crate below because there's no way they would just lay beneath your seat for 12-15 hours? |

but been doing a lot of research because i plan on buying a yorkie in korea (so much cheaper than in canada) next year while i'm here for a year and bring him with me. you will need to provide your own cage, bag or what not for your dog. if its small enough, they'll allow you to bring the dog along on board, if not, sorry, your dog's gotta be in the cargo department. i know if you fly korean air, dog + carrier is under 5kg, its allowed on board, if not, its gotta be in the cargo you will need to bring pee pads and take it to the bathroom to pee every few hours (depending on the dog's age), and bring some food and a bottle of water and feed during feeding time. from the researches, i've mostly read that dogs fall asleep. if you fly to asia often, it may be a good idea to bring your puppy along, but remember that its a lot of work and $$$$. you're going to need to get papers, and then depending on the country your dog will need to be checked once arriving into the country (i know canada is one of them and it cost $40+tax for the check up) | |

| I have taken one of our yorkies to jersey and back to az a few times...Never again !!!! She now gets anxiety attacks when put in the carrier....They DO NOT let them out of the carrier, which means they are under the seat for the duration...Imagine being in an enclosed in a case under a seat and not knowing how long you are going to be there and why !!!!

| you have to call the airline and ask them because they can be very specific as to what you can and cannot use.. |
