Yorkie Yakker | ![]() Thanks for the kind welcome, I love Jacks name too and he seems to suit it well. Those of my friends who know me weren't in the slightest bit surprised that I named him Captain Jack Sparrow, considering that Johnny Depp is my favorite actor. But also I agree it was one of his best rolls. I was Jack Sparrow for halloween this past halloween to top it off. My husband came up with the name, and was so excited when we okayed the idea. It meant he gets to tell everyone that he came up with the name. (its an on going joke in my house that my husband is very dull with names lol every fish dog foster dog lizzard bird foster cat that has passed the front doors has had one of 3 hames. Shep, Charlie, and (after a jewel) like stone. haha So it was quite funny when he ended up with bragging rights with my kids and they were happy with his name choice too. Thanks for the welcome here I seem to be finding out more here then I have found out in all of 7 books I have purchased on training and understanding Yorkies. Its so much better to learn from real pros. Also if you have just a few minutes can you tell me, is it bad for me to be letting Jack sleep with me? thanks again |

Yorkie Yakker | ![]() Thanks they are cuddley aren't they. My husband first figured (NO! actually said with no uncertain terms) that a Yorkie isn't a dog. I was furious with him. My daughter and I figured fine we dont care we would do fine. He was hooked in less then ten min. of taking Jack home. He was so funny my daughter started calling him a hypocrite. He was snapping pictures left and right, taking work off early to come home to visit him and taking him to visit the inlaws to show of their newest "grandson" (I swear his words) he absolutely adores Jack and is already looking for a brother or sister for him. I was saying to give Jack some time with the family but he wants to give Jack lots of brothers and sisters as soon as he can find them. haha he is so funny, if I could.. I would show you the picture of the two of them sleeping on the couch together. take care |

Yorkie Yakker | ![]() Hi I have a question about Yorkie fur? Hi I am completely new about this, my Jack is the first Yorkie I have ever had so please excuse my ignorance about not knowing details about the fur. Okay the question is about the fur, because I know that a Yorkie is known to be a supposedly non shedding dog, but he is nearly nine months old and I am noticing batches of fur all over the place. As well we have been noticing a few small bald patches, PLEASE if there is anything to worry about PLEASE PLEASE let me know soon as you read this I am starting to worry and I am not sure what to think. Thanks ahead for your personal time Jack and our family truly appreciate it. Have a Happy Easter. Jackie and his mom |

| ![]() I know that Yorkies shed there puppy hair, however I would check his skin for any abnormality and ask myself has he been scratching a lot lately? Also has anything changed or have you changed his food? |

Yorkie Yakker | ![]() Thanks for your response I really appreciate it, I have been quite uncomfortable with this and at least now I have more reason to look at him for something else. I gave him a bath earlier tonight and I found that it seems just to be his "puppy" hair because his skin looks completely normal (fingers crossed) Again thanks, and if there is something else I won't be able to find out until the vets office opens back up on Tuesday. Thanks again, Jacks mom |
