| Hotel Fees (for pets) Since we have put the RV away, we haven't done any traveling!!!......BUT, we are going to be traveling this coming Thanksgiving Holiday. We are staying at a hotel that is charging us $50 extra for the furbutts. (the usual place we stay at is booked) Does anyone think that this excessive for having them stay with us for 3 nights? The hotel is VERY nice... and we have more of a suite (bedroom, kitchenette, living area). I just have never stayed where a fee was charged to have them..... and it looks like this is something that is getting more and more common.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | A local hotel (Comfort Inn) charges $10 per night for each pet. We are in small market area though, in larger cities I would expect to pay more probably.

| We have stayed at many a hotel with the pooches and the most we have ever been charged was 20.00 but most only charge 10.00. 50.00 is definately over priced IMO.

| .......OK..... I will clarify....... a one stay fee of $50. So maybe it ain't too bad from what I am reading. 2 Yorkies at $10 per night at 3 nights would be $60......... It just sounds so expensive to me. (and we used to not have to pay anything!) The town that we are going to is quite big, but only has 2 hotels that allow pets in it. It really makes it dificult.

| I've only stayed at Sheaton's and W's and they don't charge but it doesn't sound unreasonable to me.

| I try and always stay at a Sheraton, but other nice places I have checked do charge by the night, so $50 for the whole stay sounds reasonable to me.

| When hubby was a Road Warrior, I took my poodle and traveled with him....When we were in Maryland- They charged a flat $75 fee...We were there for 3 months....Then when we transfered to Springfield Missouri- that hotel charged $50 flat fee.....We were there 2 months...So we did not think the fee was so bad....But we had stayed in hotels that were $10 a nite....

| the best hotel ever for Chi Chi was the Westin; they were very pet friendly , they provided bedding and bowls for her and we did not have to pay anything extra! |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I think that's not bad at all. As far as I know, most hotels charge a per day fee rather than a per stay fee. I think you're ok, and even more knowing that's a very nice hotel |

Therapy Dog Donating Member | We have only traveled once this summer since we got Izzy and they charged us an extra $15.00 per night to have her with us which to me was worth it since you would pay that for boarding...at least you know they are safe with you and you are not worrying your head off. But that's not bad for a one-time fee though....I like that idea better.

| I think its funny how some hotels charge a lot and others charge nothing. Ritz Carlton's, Marriott Suites, and W Hotels don't charge us a dime. However, Residence Inn in Anaheim charged us a flat rate of $100 for two nights!!! We were very upset about that and eventually got that taken off the bill, but it was pretty outrageous!
