| Calming tip I asked my Vet last night for something that I could give Tucker to calm him down and that would also be 100% safe for him. She recommended the benedryl quick dissolving strips. She said the strips are 25 mgs and that you can give 1 mg per lb of dog. Thus, if your dog weighs about 12 lbs cut one in half, if it weighs 6 lbs, cut one into fourths, etc. Tucker is 9 lbs and she said it would be fine to give him half of a strip, so the 1mg for 1lb is not all that strict. She did say that you should try it out first just to see how your dog will react. SHe said nothing bad will happen, but a small number of dogs actually become more hyper as a result of the strip. I am going to try it out on Tucker tonight. I will let you know how it goes We fly on Sunday
