Jeanie, I am sending you prayers for a good report on your mammogram today. I am hoping you take your time getting needed things done. All will get done with time and most important is you get strong and take care of yourself. I think of and pray for you everyday. I am so happy you have your dear buddy, Tibbe there with you. Hugs to you! |
Hi Jeanie :wavey: It was nice to read your recent post, I think of you and Tibbe often. I assume by now that you've completed your mammogram test and I'm praying that all went well! Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way! :rose: |

Jeanie don't fret about it. You made the right decision for you at this time. Another 2wks is okay. 2 more wks to heal up and get sorted out. |
I agree with gemy, please don't fret....relax, have a peaceful uneventful weekend! ;) "Been feeling lower than a catapiller's bellybutton", what a sense of humor, I love it! :D Now that sounds like the Jeanie I've become to know and love! Hugs to you and Tibbe! |
I was astonished when you drove to pick Tibbe up so soon after surgery. I can't imagine driving to a stressful test when you are still recovering and not having all your strength back. Wish we were neighbors, I would so much enjoy being your chauffeur. You can just put those prayers 'on account' knowing your friends on YT are piling them up for you and any future detours from your resting at home. Not to fret, God's still in control. |
Dear Jeanie, you do not have to explain or apologize to "family" that it just was not the right time for that test. You have been through so much and I'm sure at times you feel like you are running out of steam - not surprising. Seems like that text was scheduled too soon after your discharge anyway. Chill a little bit, and cuddle and play with Tibbe, then address it on another day. Staying in a state of feeling overwhelmed is not good for healing, so I think you were wise to back off for a bit. The prayers and well wishes will not stop :D. We got your back, my dear:p |
Jeanie My dear friend Jeanie. Don't feel bad about the test postponement. It was too soon after the surgery to have yet another test and more stress awaiting the results. You do it when you are ready. What you need now is rest and quiet healing, not more tests!!! So try and have a peaceful weekend with your baby and forget roof and other home issues. Hoping you are feeling better and that the GI system is settling down. Perhaps you might soon be able to enjoy food once more with no nausea? What you have accomplished since coming home is amazing, but there are limits to what you can do!!! So take it easy girl and let nature and rest heal you. Thinking of you and always praying for your speedy retirn to health. Love and hugs to you and Tibby. Dot xxxxx |
Jeanie, don't worry about not getting your mammo. Two weeks will not make any difference. For your peace of mind postponing is for the best thing for you right now. |
As usual you all - every one of you - make me feel less of a fawning wuss. Maybe it has been too full a four weeks that my stress meter is just over-amped or something - ducking out on that test. Hopefully this weekend Tibbe and I can just rest up. He gets awfully amped up himself when several people come to the house and just loves all the attention. You know there's no rest for the weary though. I was supposed to look at roofs the roofing company has recently done in the neighborhood on the way to and from the mammogram yesterday but didn't get to so I had to call the roofer and fess up I couldn't make it to the test or view the roofs. There's always something pending and I know he's hoping to get my job in before he starts a couple of really big jobs or we'll have to wait but I really do need to see their work before I sign on the dotted line, even though State Farm recommended him and work with him in D/FW. Hope he understands even a bit. Anyway, I got Tibbe's toenails done this morning and his teeth brushed so I'm feeling accomplished. Was really worried about corralling him, getting him turned over in my lap and doing his nails thinking it was really going to hurt but it didn't. We made it and Tibbe got serial treats afterward! Once we were done, I freshened up, dressed, did my hair, put on make up and and now we've go the rest of the day to hopefully rest and stay cool. Frightfully hot this weekend here in the D/FW area but we're staying inside and cool. Everyone stay cook and take it easy this weekend and here's hugs and kisses to every one of you out there - wishing you a wonderful weekend. |
Weekend Looks like you got a great start today with Tibbe and you all fixed up and ready to get a peaceful weekend. Sorry the heat prevents walks, but perhaps it will cool down by evening. The roof thing is a pain, but maybe tomorrow if you have more energy you can car cruise down the street to check out the roofs so that the job can be done on schedule? Sorry about typo Tibbe, I turned you into half cat, 'Tibby'. :) Enjoy the lounging around on the couch both of you. Love, Dot xxxx |
Jeanie, I do understand that it is all too much too soon for any more testing. Two weeks is no big deal. Great that you were able to get Tibbe's nails done and his teeth brushed with ease. I've seen the temperatures in Texas and it just unrelenting. Stay cool inside and the walks can wait for it to be a bit less hot. Hope you get to ride a bit and see the roofs so you can get that one thing taken care of sooner. You are always thought of and prayers said for you. |
I agree with Earth Angel, Jeanie. I would worry if you tried to walk at even your slowest in extreme heat, fresh air is great but this heat is not one bit good for you. Sorry to be acting like your Mother but you need to relax with a large pitcher of lemonade or ice tea looking out the window but not being a part of Mother Nature for awhile. Prayers coming for you sweetie. Fondly, Joan |
jeanie Hi Jeanie I am happy to hear you taking life decisions slowly. Healing takes time so no rush . You have lots of prayers covering you and our great Lord Jesus watching out for you just like you watch out for all of us. You and Tibbe are precious and I pray for you both to have good health and happy days. |
Jeanie, you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers, and I'm sending you lots of good healing vibes as you continue to recover. Stay cool, rested and hydrated, and be patient with yourself. Recovery takes time. Enjoy the present moments peacefully, and don't worry about the "to do" list..... it will still be there when you feel better and stronger. |
