| Thank you all again for your thoughtful comments. It is a comfort in this sad time. It took me a while to write the obituary. How do you sum up someones life in so few words? I wanted to capture some of the highlights of her life, yet give a sense of what a great loving person she was. It came out ok, but seems so inadequate. Now I'm trying to get used to the fact that she's gone. I was shopping and picked up a blouse I thought she would like, then I remembered. I'll be cooking and want her advice about a recipe, and I remember. She was a great mom and friend, and I was so lucky to have her for as long as I did. I only wish it was even longer.

| You were very lucky to have a great mom. I can tell you that you will never really get used to her being gone. 29 years later, and I still see things and think how my mom would love them. I believe this is a good thing, meaning they are there in our hearts.

| Sandy, I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds like your Mom, Pat, was a remarkable woman and mother. Sending up prayers of comfort and strength during this difficult time. |

I know exactly how you are feeling and my heart aches for you. Every time I come to this thread it takes me back to my own recent loss of my mother so believe me I know. We gals without our momma's, what are we to do. During my first few weeks of the loss of my momma I got tons of wonderful heart felt thoughts and prayer from the YT community and it helps so much. One thing that helps me was to remember the good memories and the laughter that seemingly turns into tears of joy as you can imagine the smile on your own mothers face as she was. Those are the times I hold so dear . . {{HUGS}} to you and again I am so very sorry for your loss!
