Hi all, just got on to update and take a quick look around...I really miss YT.

We are doing quite well. He got released from his last neuro doc a couple weeks ago and will be followed by his medicine docs now. Pat goes to TBI rehab 3 times a week for OT, Speech, PT and pool therapy and making such progress. His memory isn't that great but perhaps in time, if not that's ok too. Also, we can now go on the other days to use the equipment and/or pool at their Wellness Center. We are to the point everyday I see more things my old Pat said or did and I'm thrilled each time!

Although it seems like your life is very busy with Pat, I'm so glad to hear that there has been some progress, as well as signs of your old Pat I sure hope that you are taking time for yourself, as we often over do it as care givers and burn out can happen before you even realize it. Sending positive thoughts for more and more progress as time passes. Cheers!

I agree that Pat's outcome it a miracle. Brain injuries that result in coma are so often so heartbreaking and end tragically. His progress has been phenomenal and it sounds as if he's had a terrific patient advocate, caregiver and rehab coach besides a loving wife in Tena. She never once seemed to lose her positive attitude and give in to fears and terrible what-if's.
