Over the years I had several surgeries and several laser surgeries when that came around, I had ablation and more biopsies than I could ever count, the last 3 years I had biopsies every 3 months...to me those were the worst...I hated biopsies. My Dr. always thought that I would want to have more children...so he always wanted to wait to do the big one! in 2007 at 41 years old I got a call on Wednesday at work from the doc...surgery immediately...I had my hysterectomy less than 48 hours later. Funny thing was I had put off my biopsie and was 2 months late when my husband told me "just get it done" this is curable shi%. Luckily I went. I have no regrets, at first I felt very strange...knowing...even though I didn't plan to have any more...but just knowing I couldn't get pregnant again had me crying all the time...but then one day my daughter called and asked me for money again and that feeling instantly was gone....!!!! lol It really is wise to get it done, you've already been through so much...I assure you the hardest part is over...for your health for your peace of mind...go for it...theres always black cohash for the menopause symptoms...(have no idea what it is, but my husband made me take it)!! Your posts will certainly become more interesting!!! The sudden onslaught of menopause was disturbing at first but then I got use to it and learned to cry in the shower, accidentally break cups in the kitchen sink....take late night drives with the music blaring and the window open in -5 weather and the best part is everyone tends to leave you alone!!! It will be ok Michele and if I could I would recommend strongly you join hystersisters.com...those women saved my life and I have never had so much laughter or support in my life....it really is a great tool for women like us!

| ![]() Michele, I am praying for your checkup to return great news. My SIL was in her mid-30s when she was diagnosed with CA and had to have a hysterectomy. She is doing very well.

| ![]() Update: wasn't able to get my mammogram because someone dropped the ball and the orders and films didn't get sent to the imaging center, bloodwork came back severly anemic so I meet with the hematologist to discuss blood transfusion vs iron infusion in order to get levels where they need to be for surgery. After weighing all my options and researching, we are opting for a hysterectomy.

| ![]() sending good thoughts and prayers. Best of luck with all the pre-op work. Just follow doctors orders for post surgery. Don't lift anything heavy. I tried to move a 40lb box of cat litter 2 feet and it didn't feel good. I just tried lifting one side of the box and it wasn't the smartest thing I did. Good luck, we're here for you. Hugs.
