That spine pain could be from generalized deconditioning from the inactivity the disease and chemo are causing. Still praying for Ken and you. Hold on to your hope and know you all are cared about. |

He is on Taxol right? I know this can cause bone pain. I took the Chemo Abraxane which is the newer form of Taxol and I had horrible back, hip and spine pain. I had scans run (Bone Scan) and all was Ok. I pray for good reoprt fop Ken. Prayers still continue for you both. |
Patti, I am very sorry Ken is in pain, and I am praying for both of you that the MRI will bring good news. |
We will keep Ken in our prayers. Hopefully they can give him something for his back pain. Chronic pain can really get to a person - exhausting. Also hoping this new chemo is going to help him better. Hugs to both of you. |
Thanks so much! Vicki thanks for that information. It seems when we bring up a problem the drs say it's not from the chemo. Then I will read or hear a lot of people have similar problems from the chemo. |

I just wish Doctors would really listen to the patients and take to heart what they saying. I do hope his MRI comes out good. Have they thought about giving him a Bone Scan?? |
You could call your pharmacist and see if bone/spine pain is one of the side-effects of the medications Ken is taking. I often get more info on drugs from those guys than the medical profession. |
Still praying for you and Ken. Hugs. |
Thanks. Ken has a compression fracture of his vertebrae and tiny spots of metastatic disease throughout the spine. We will hear tomorrow if they radiologist thinks they should radiate it. They are trying a different pain pill to help control the pain. |

Patti, prayers are continually going out for you and Ken. You are both in my thoughts every day, and I hope he finds relief from the pain. |
Oh, Patti. That is just such bad news to get after all Ken and you have already been through. This may be an indication for the docs to take another course of treatment or send him to another cancer center for assessment/treatment recommendations. I can only imagine how low and depleted you must be feeling right now. Your life right now with Ken is probably just about as it gets but I've never seen you ranting and losing it when sometimes you must surely feel like it. But you probably don't have the energy. Yet your quiet faith comes through all your posts and you are so strong, so steady. Just know that we are always loving and praying for your dear one. Hope is still strong! And miracles that do come usually happen when human endeavors have all failed. We are praying for one for Ken. |
Sending positive thoughts and energy to your whole family. |
Dear Patti...I am so sorry you got such heartbreaking news. You are always in my thoughts and prayers, dear friend! *HUG* |
Oh Patti, I'm sorry to hear this latest news. As always, I'm sending love and prayers for you both. Hugs, Bonny |
Dear Patti and Ken, continually lifting you in our prayers and asking God to direct and lead the physicians and those overseeing Ken's care in whatever treatment they feel needs to be, and that you both feel God's arms about you as you go through all that you are. Much love and a big hug, from Jack and myself. |
Patti still praying for you and Ken daily. Please try to stay positive. |
Patti, I am so sorry to hear the news of Ken's spine. You both are in my prayers and thoughts. |
Patti i am so sorry, I truly understand what you are going through..i pray that you stay strong hugs to you both |
Oh my, sorry to hear that news. Hopefully the new pain pill will give him some relief of the pain and plan a course of treatment that gives him complete healing. We will continue to pray for both of you. May God bless your path as the two of you walk this together. We pray He gives you both strength and Ken healing. When I used to be struggling w serious illness, I used to meditate on Psalm 91. A pastor gave me that to read and it brought me great peace and strength. I read it several times a day. |

Ken's MRI showed a compression fracture in his spine and tiny spots of metastatic disease. They are stopping chemo for 3 weeks to do 2 1/2 weeks of radiation on his spine. The chemo he is on is not compatible with radiation. I am so concerned that in spite of all his chemo treatments the cancer is still spreading. Thanks for the continued support and prayers. |
Sending continued prayers for Ken. You both are in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs to the both of you. |
