Thanks so much!! We feel a little better today after the initial shock wore off and will continue to fight this to the end. Everyone's support helps us get through each day.

Our love and a great big hug to you Patti, we must never give up the fight. God is in control and HE needs us to keep fighting and pushing on in this life. HIS arms are about us constantly, carrying us through what ever we must endure.

Please tell Ken that Jack asked about him this morning and knelt and prayed for healing for him.

Patti we are lifting you and Ken in all our prayers, asking God to be with Ken especially tomorrow as he has the tests done and that this will enable the Dr.s to help his healing to be better with what ever treatments that will be needed.

Patti i think of you and Ken every day, and pray for you . I am no stranger to cancer I lost 5 siblings in 4 years from different kinds of it . Try to keep the the faith as i will be praying for you daily.

Thank You. We got the CT scan results and the cytology results from the fluid they removed today. The fluid showed malignant cells and the CT scan showed 2 new small nodules. Their was some shrinkage of a couple of lymph nodes in his lung and the main tumor has not grown. Also, Ken has a new enlarged lymph node in his neck. So tomorrow he starts chemo with Taxol. I really couldn't get through each day without the help of everyone's prayers and good thoughts and frequent phone conversations with Connie and Patti. It's amazing who people you have ever met can make such a difference in your life.

What schedule are they going to use for the Taxol, weekly, bi weekly or every 3 weeks?

He will be getting Taxol once a week for 3 weeks, then a week off and start over.
Is Avastin bad?
Ken had his first treatment today and it really has hit him hard. Hopefully he will feel better in a few days.

on the news tonight they said there shipments of bogus/fake Avastin to 3 states, Illinois being one of them. That Avastin had no active ingredient in it.

Ken had his first treatment today and it really has hit him hard. Hopefully he will feel better in a few days.
Taxol can be somewhat hard on the system. One thing it can cause your feet and hands to be numb.

On the Avastin, it is a good drug, but it was just released yesterday that were some fake shipments.
I keep up with all this stuff through my Breast Cancer support group.

Thanks. I looked up the Avastin and how horrible for anyone who got that instead of the real drug.
This chemo has really hit him hard. He was so far from being better from the last chemo.

I am a member of a prayer group and will add Ken to our list. My husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor and was given bad news by the doctors. He has outlived their predictions by 9 years so far. I pray you will post the same news one day. I will also pray for you to have the strength you need.

Thanks so much! I am so glad your husband proved the doctors wrong. We are praying Ken beats the odds too and prayers are so appreciated.
