| Please say some prayers for my mom.. I am grasping at anything lately and am hoping some prayers can be said for my mom. She was diagnosed in May 2009 with ovarian cancer (she didn't know what stage, but it was advanced based on the size of the tumor) and went through treatment and a total hysterectomy in August of 2009 and then she went into a brief remission for 3 months. In those same few months my grandpa was diagnosed with lung cancer and my grandma passed away suddenly. My grandpa is doing well now and I still miss my grandma like it happened yesterday...but my mom.. She hasn't had a break since that 3 month remission. Treatments work for a bit and then things start growing again and her body starts resisting whatever treatment she is on. Last year, just after my wedding, she was hospitalized due to a blood clot in her superior vena cava and we were told she probably wouldn't make it...she did, thank god. But this year has been hard on her as well as the entire family. She seems to finally being getting better and then bam treatment stops working. She was told a couple of months ago that the cancer has started to spread and it is now on her liver and a few other new ones grew. She went on a trial and was just taken off of it last week because new tumors grew again...they are starting her on something else in 2 weeks if she can build her strength up. She has been so sick lately and has lost about 100lbs since the summer because she can't eat and she throws up all the time. I just want people to help pray that this treatment will work for her, she doesn't deserve this. I have such a hard time watching her go through this and knowing there is nothing I can do for her makes me sad. I quit my job last year to spend more time with her and I live with her 3.5 days a week and then with my husband for the other 3.5 days a week. I just want her to feel better and be able to keep fighting this fight. Aside from my husband, she is my best friend and I can't handle the thought of losing her and I want her to gain her strength and optimism that she once had back...she keeps getting knocked down and I am scared she will end up losing hope entirely. I've put this picture up before, but this is a picture of my mom and Sophie at the Ovarian Cancer Walk of Hope in September...she has lost more weight since the walk and needs her wheelchair again...but I love this picture of them. |

| I'm so very sorry to hear that your mother is still battling cancer and that it has progressed. It sounds like you are blessed to have an understanding husband to support your journey through this time with your mom. Prayers for strength, guidance, and peace to you and your family.

| Sending prayers your way for your mom. What a great daughter to divide up time between mom and husband.
