Patti I just now saw this. I am so sorry your husband didn't get a better diagnosis. I am a firm believer in the power of prayer and God does perform miracles every day. My prayer is for strength for the both of you and for God to wrap his loving arms around you both right now and place his healing hand upon your dear husband. |
You and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers. |
Keeping you both in my prayers....so sorry you are going through this:( |
So sorry to hear this news. Please know that you and Ken are in my prayers. Please stay strong and keep positive. Your YT family is here with you and praying. |
I'm so sorry to read this, you and your husband are in my thought and prayers. |
Thanks. We saw the oncologist today and he sent us over to the surgeon and they will be doing a biopsy on the 2 cm lymph node in Ken's neck as they feel it is spread from the large mass in his right kidney. This will hopefully tell them what type of lung cancer her has. The mass is inoperable as it is wrapped around his main airway. They are also putting in a port for chemo while he is in for the biopsy. Then he will have a bone scan and a PET scan. My head is spinning right now and Ken wants to get a second opinion when we get all the results. I will have to find an oncologist at a bigger hospital. I appreciate your continued prayers. |
Patti, you and your husband are in my prayers. {{{{{{hugs}}}}}} I am so sorry that you are going through this. |
Oh, Patti, somehow I missed your post of the findings and am so sorry to hear it. But you know the wonders the medical profession can perform with malignancies these days and people go on to live long and productive lives after treatment. And we still have a God of miracles and we are going to be praying and believing for a big one just for you two. Keep courageous and keep your faith shield strong and know we will be here praying and believing with you! |
Patti, you and your husband are constantly in my prayers. Your whole world has been turned upside down, and it all probably seems unbearable. I know all too well, I've been in your shoes. If I can help in any way, please PM me. But try to stay strong, and know that there are many friends here on YT praying for the best for your husband. |
Patty Just know you are surrounded with prayers for you and your dh from all the people that love you here on yt |
Patty, I am praying for you and Ken  This has to be one of the hardest situations for a couple to go through." When the going gets tough.....the tough get going!" |
Continued prayers and hugs for Patti and Ken |
Oh, Patti, I am so terribly, terribly sorry. My heart breaks for you and for Ken. We will keep you both in our prayers and will ask others as well. God bless you both. |
Patti, I have already begun saying prayers for Ken. I pray that God will lay His healing hand on Ken's body and give him a miracle. I also pray that God will give you the strength to endure what is facing you. With God, all things are possible. Take one day at a time. |
Praying for Ken and You. Keep positive and strong for both of you. Remember this YT family is here for you ... |

Thanks. Ken had the biopsy and cath put in today. The surgeon came out and said he was only able to get one lymph node out, I think it was the swollen one, and it was cancer. Not sure how he knew but I guess they have a good idea. Ken is resting but very uncomfortable. His breathing is getting worse and he can not sleep laying down. His bone scan is tomorrow and the oncologist appt wednesday. Then we go to the surgeon on Monday for a follow up and a Pet scan later in the day. All of this is very wearing on Ken. The hospital is an hour a way and I am going to see if we can get any treatment done closer to home. Thanks Jodi for all your valuable information. I can see why you said it is best to have the treatment close to home. Please keep the prayers going as we have quite a battle ahead of us. We need a miracle. |
So very sorry Patti...i hate cancer...I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer when he was just 53 years old....i will pray for you to have your miracle..they do happen....my mom is a living miracle...Someday i should share her story..but in the meantime i will continue to pray for you and your hubby...hang in there!:) |
My husband and I are continuing to lift you and DH up in our prayers. We believe. |
This must be so scary for the both of you... Will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers.. hope that Ken gets some relief from the discomfort soon. It is amazing what doctors are capable of with God's help ... it sounds like they are being aggressive and doing everything they can in a timely manner. Hugs to ya Patti. |
I'm so very sorry, Patti. It will be a long road ahead for you both, but God will not put more on you both than you can handle. Keep the faith. I will continue to say prayers for Ken. Miracles still happen. |
Patti, every day I pray that things will start getting better for Ken, and that the miracle of healing will soon be there. Sending hugs and aloha to you both. |
Patti, I am just now seeing this. I am so sorry. I wish there was something I could do to make the road ahead a little easier for the both of you. I will keep your hubby and you in my prayers. |

I'm so glad you talked to Jodi, she is the best!! Talk to your insurance company, mine gave me a travel allowance .. It applies to treatment that is 60 miles away. They cover car rental, hotel, gas food etc... That may help. |
Patti, Ken and you remain in my prayers. |
Just seeing this...sending prayers and hugs to you both. |
