Ok... just left the vet. She LOOKS good but not out of the woods. The Dr. said we will know if we are out of the woods in 48 hrs. They have to watch for drainage, other organs failing & her seizures. If we get through the 48 hrs ok then they will remove the drain tubes & keep her 24 more hrs after that. Dr Hall told us... she was surprised on how she was acting & that she is a fighter! Everyone, please continue to send positive thoughts & prayers, we REALLY appreciate eveyones support.

Oh bless her little heart. That's a fighter! Thanks for the udpate Twalla- I was just getting sick with worry- I hate when these little ones are so sick- I just think about my Layla and I know how their mommy's heart must be breaking. Please keep us posted.

Hi everyone...
This is Angi. I know I havent been on in a while & some of you know me... some of you dont. I wanted to let everyone know how much we DEEPLY appreciate everyone's thoughts & prayers. I will update when I can... if Twalla hasnt beat me to it!!

Some of you know how many problems we have had with Sophie since we got her in 2007. This is yet another page (chapter) in Sophie's book that she WILL live on to tell. I have brought her through many issues & seizures... this will NOT get us down. January 12th is her 3rd birthday... she WILL be here to celebrate... & celebrate we will !!

Twalla... thank you so much for being the friend you are. You are always so thoughtful & I really appreciate you posting this here to gather more & more prayers for Sophie. The more that goes up... the better I feel about her recovery. Love you girl!

I love how we band together to pray for our lil ones, pray for those we have never met or may not even exchanged a comment with... There is something about a pet lover that makes none of that matter. YT prayers are the strongest!!!

Here is an update>>
Update as of 10:00 last night before going to bed. She was doing ok..she had eaten real food! They're mixing nutrical in w/it so that helps to keep her blood sugar up as well. Her blood sugar level was 69, pretty close to where they want her, which is about 75 or so. Hoping for more leaps forward for her today! Next Tuesday, January 12th, she IS turning 3 & we are gonna CELEBRATE her 3rd birthday !!

Here is a morning update!! This lil girl is one tough cookie!!

Ok... morning update. Dr Hall says she is doing "....great?!?!?!... actually" (surprising tone). She is eating, her blood sugar is around 100 (YAY!) and she has very little drainage. Migher get her drain tubes out tonight or in the morning. As long as she keeps on this road, maybe come home Sunday evening!!
